Why do we need to raise money?
Is our church falling down? Fortunately no, it did that back in the 1930s. Thankfully the wonderful people of Macclesfield came together and raised a whopping £2,000. Ninety years ago that was an awful lot of money!
Our need is slightly simpler, and a whole lot cheaper. Over the years Bethel has been focused on the needs of its congregation and the community beyond its walls — much to the detriment of the building itself.
Apart from brickwork and plastering, we will be doing the work ourselves.
We have already taken care of some large jobs, like restoring the collapsed floor in the gents toilet.
So, exactly how much money do we need to raise?
We're trying to collect an additional £1000 to help with paint, primer, and the like.
