This document is basically our church's way of saying, "Here's what we believe and what makes us tick." We believe there is one real God who has made himself known as Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit, and that the Bible is how God has clearly spoken to us about who he is and how we should live. We believe that every person, including us, is broken by sin and needs forgiveness, and that Jesus, who is God's Son, came, died on the cross, and rose again so we can be forgiven and come back into a right relationship with God. We think following Jesus means trusting him, turning away from our old way of life, being baptised, becoming part of his church family, and learning to live by his Spirit's power day by day. We also believe spiritual things are very real—like the Holy Spirit who helps and guides us, and a real spiritual enemy (the devil) who is ultimately defeated—and that when we die, we don't just stop existing but continue on and will one day be raised and stand before God.
