My family and I moved to Macclesfield in 2024 and, coming from a Christian background, finding a church home was very important to us. We are grateful to God for leading us to Bethel Baptist Church, where we were warmly welcomed and accepted as part of the church family. Since joining, we have experienced genuine fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and a loving community. Bethel Baptist Church has truly become our home away from home, and we thank God for everyone who has made us feel so valued and loved.

We knew our season to be involved in the church, on the streets of Burnley, was coming to a close. Living in Macclesfield and travelling to Burnley most weeks, we were looking for a church we could walk to. We decided to try Bethel, as we had a friend there who spoke very highly of Pastor Harry Pritchard. When we went, the people made us feel so very welcome and we both felt at home there. Also, we could feel the presence of God there. We were highly impressed with Pastor Harry Pritchard, a lovely, witty, caring, dedicated pastor.

In 1969 I was living in Stockport & working in Macc. Sheila was living in Macc. We planned to settle in the town but wanted to find a Church that would suit us, someone suggested we look at Bethel Baptist Church on Windmill Square. We found our way there and attended the Morning service, we were amazed at the friendly and warm welcome we received, we felt we belonged there and 57 years later we're still there.

We moved to Macclesfield at the end of 1979. When we were looking for a church that we could be part of we set out to look for a particular place but found ourselves outside Bethel. We went in and really enjoyed a Christmas Nativity play by the children and a great service. We were warmly welcomed by everyone and felt quite at home. We have been here ever since.
