You who call on the\u202fLord, give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest\u202ftill he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise\u202fof the earth. <\/p>\n<cite>Isaiah 62:6-7<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a close relationship between the glory of Israel and the glory of the Church and all to the glory of God. One aspect of this prophecy is that of the glory of the church in the latter day and we can note Isaiah\u2019s longing for it and his confidence that it will happen. This is what it will finally look like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then I saw <em>\u201ca new heaven and a new earth,\u201d<\/em> for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I saw the Holy City,\u202fthe new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,\u202fprepared as a bride\u202fbeautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, <em>\u201cLook! God\u2019s dwelling place is now among the people, and He will dwell with them.\u202fThey will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.\u202f\u2018He will wipe every tear from their eyes.\u202fThere will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,\u202ffor the old order of things has passed away\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026\u202fOne of the seven angels \u2026 came and said to me, <em>\u201cCome, I will show you the bride,\u202fthe wife of the Lamb\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026 he carried me away\u202fin the Spirit\u202fto a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.\u202fIt shone with the glory of God&#8230; its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper,\u202fclear as crystal. <\/p>\n<cite>Rev. 21:1- 4, 9 -11<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Church is the Bride of Christ and He is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interestingly, these things are going to happen, nothing can stop them &nbsp;\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230; as a bridegroom\u202frejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice\u202fover you.<\/p>\n<cite>Isaiah 62:5<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">but the Lord requires His people to pray them into being: <em>\u201cYou who call on the\u202fLord, give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest\u202ftill he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise\u202fof the earth.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;Imagine if the disciples had done what Jesus had requested them to do:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.\u202fThe spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.<\/p>\n<cite>Matt. 26:41<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There would have been a completely different outcome for them than this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then everyone deserted Him and fled.<\/p>\n<cite>Mark 14:50<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Again he denied it. After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, <em>\u201cSurely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.\u201d<\/em> He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, <em>\u201cI don\u2019t know this man you\u2019re talking about\u201d.<\/em> <\/p>\n<cite>Mark. 14:70<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is praying continually Scriptural?&nbsp; Definitely!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances;\u202ffor this is God\u2019s will for you in Christ Jesus. <\/p>\n<cite>1 Thess. 5:16-18<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And pray in the Spirit\u202fon all occasions\u202fwith all kinds of prayers and requests.\u202fWith this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying\u202ffor all the Lord\u2019s people.<\/p>\n<cite>Eph. 6:18<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">See also Luke 11:5-8, 18:1-8; and Anna praying for the Lord\u2019s first coming, in Luke 2:36-38.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quote of the week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#f8e9c8\"><em>&nbsp;\u201cIt is a sign that God is coming to His people in mercy when He pours out a spirit of prayer upon them.\u201d<\/em><br><br>Matthew Henry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verse of the week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.<\/p>\n<cite>Isaiah 64:4<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let\u2019s Pray<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Father, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
