autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Word<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please Read:<\/strong> Psalm 23<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The Lord is my shepherd.<\/p><cite>Psalm 23:1<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Written by David:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>He chose David&nbsp;His servant and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep&nbsp;He brought him to be the shepherd&nbsp;of His people \u2026 of Israel His inheritance.<\/p><cite>Ps. 78:70-71<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The psalm begins with one of the most beautiful expressions of trust in God. Note the emphasis on <em>\u201c<strong>my<\/strong> Shepherd\u201d<\/em> meaning the truths of this Psalm are for those who confess that the Lord is <strong>my <\/strong>Shepherd, those who have put their faith in Him. Jesus claimed that He was the Good Shepherd and backed this up by laying down His life for us all,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd&nbsp;lays down His life for the sheep.<\/p><cite>John 10:11<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hence the Psalmist spoke prophetically,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The Lord is my Shepherd, <strong>I will&nbsp;not be in need<\/strong>. <\/p><cite>Ps. 23:1 NASB<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Good Shepherd meets all our needs,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?&nbsp;He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all&nbsp;\u2013 <strong>how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?<\/strong><\/p><cite>Romans 8:31-32<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But we have to do our bit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,\u2019 says the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;Almighty, \u2018and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.<\/p><cite>Malachi 3:10<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Good Shepherd truly cares for the flock, He wants the very best for them, unlike the shepherds who only took care of themselves (cf. Ezekiel 34:1-16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>He restores my soul<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we spend time in His Presence, we will be refreshed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>But those who&nbsp;wait on the&nbsp;Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.<\/p><cite>Isaiah 40:31<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we come to Jesus when we are weary and heavy laden He promises us rest (Matt. 11:28-30).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>He guides me along the right paths for his name\u2019s sake<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He guides me in all ways for His glory and praise and our blessing, Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Quote of the week<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#f8e9c8\"><em>\u201cHis saving work is sufficient for all, but is effective only for those who actually believe in Him.\u201d <\/em><br><br>William MacDonald<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Verse of the week<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>When He has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice.<\/p><cite>John 10:4<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Let\u2019s Pray<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Gracious, Good, and Loving Shepherd thank You for Your care for us, such that we lack nothing.
